What will I learn?

A certified or licensed Navigator is a trained professional who offers non-biased education about the healthcare Marketplace/Exchange plans and can assist consumers in the enrollment process of these plans.

To become certified or licensed as a Navigator, you will need to demonstrate entry-level knowledge of the industry by passing a state licensing exam. This course will deliver the content needed to successfully complete the education and examination requirements.

Testable topics include:

The Affordable Care Act, health insurance coverage terms, long-term care insurance, Marketplace assistance training and certification, conflict of interest provisions, navigator performance metrics, Qualified Health Plans, HIPAA, plan eligibility, and enrollment rules. This course also includes state-specific regulations based on the state where you are applying for a license.
