What will I learn?

Motor vehicle insurance is written specifically to cover liability claims including bodily injury or property damage to others caused by the actions of a covered insured arising from or as a result of the ownership of an automobile. It will also cover physical damage of the insured vehicle and medical payments if the insured suffers a loss in an accident.

To become licensed as an IL Motor Vehicle insurance producer, you will need to demonstrate entry-level knowledge of the industry by passing a state licensing exam. This course will deliver the content needed to successfully complete the education and examination requirements. This course includes Illinois-specific licensing regulations and prohibited marketing practices.

Testable topics include:

Basic concepts of automobile insurance, bodily injury, property damage, medical payments, physical damage, definitions applicable to covered automobiles, Illinois law specific to Uninsured and Underinsured motorists coverage, cancellation and renewal requirements, mandatory automobile coverage, and other state-specific coverages and exclusions.
