What will I learn?
Licensed life insurance professionals are empowered to confidently provide security and peace of mind to clients by identifying the type
of insurance needed, the adequate amount of coverage, and, ultimately, helping them purchase the right policy.
To become licensed as a life insurance producer, you will need to demonstrate entry-level knowledge of the industry by passing a state
licensing exam. This course will deliver the content needed to successfully complete the education and examination requirements.
Testable topics include:
General insurance concepts, insurance contract terminology, types of life
insurance policies, policy provisions and applicable riders, group life insurance characteristics, the application and underwriting process,
annuities, qualified and nonqualified retirement plans, and federal taxation of life insurance products. This course also includes state-specific
regulations based on the state where you are applying for a license.
