Diversity, inclusion, and bias elimination training is intended to create a greater understanding and appreciation for the unique qualities and experiences each individual brings to the workplace or to a business relationship. No two individuals approach a problem the same way, or have the same opinion on every issue. Likewise, all clients are different; each comes to the table with unique wants and needs based on their social identities and background. This course is designed to challenge and train insurance professionals on how to optimally serve a diverse population. The following topics will be discussed:

• Understanding the concept of implicit and explicit bias
• Recognizing various methods of bias elimination
• Discerning how to appropriately serve clients with cultural and other differences
• Identifying current diversity and inclusion initiatives in the insurance industry
